About

Symphony being the trendsetter in the air-cooler market and a consumer-centric brand, with its first-ever innovation challenge, wishes to engage with young developers and innovators in India.

Since inception, Symphony air coolers have been an inspiration and a symbol of futuristic and original design. This is probably why Symphony is the most recognised and copied air cooler brand in the world. At present, the organised market is flooded with at least 25 brands. If we talk about the entire universe of branded air coolers in India, the basic design and technology used are more or less the same, with just a handful of outliers. The competition is getting stiff and the market overall is heading towards saturation, in terms of innovation. In such a scenario, it becomes crucial to differentiate a brand from the competition and become the most preferred brand when consumers think of air coolers. Symphony is looking for some disruptive product ideas on two fronts: Design and Technology. It could be something never heard of, or could even be something very common but never thought of. The only thing to bear in mind is that it shouldn’t just be something good to have. Rather, it needs to be something that addresses some consumer tension at a reasonable cost. If the cost of features becomes too high, then the purpose of being competitive will be lost.
