INSTINCT 3.0 is the latest edition of IntelliSmart’s annual series of Innovation, Challenge & Hackathon. It is the ideal opportunity for all skilled individuals who want to contribute to digitising the Power Distribution Sector.
After the dynamic success of INSTINCT 2.0 last year, IntelliSmart is back with new challenges associated with the digitalization of the power sector. We urge the participants to ponder upon innovations in smart metering and come up with innovative ideations for the recent problem statements.

Electricity Smart Meter as a hub for Multiple Appliances
Suggest/demonstrate a solution in which the Electricity Smart Meter has the footprint to connect other utility meters and manage home appliances. The solution should be demonstrated with a minimum of three use cases.

Suggest a reliable design improvement/solution for enhancing/protecting the electricity smart meters, typically to withstand the multiple surges up to 10 KV in an operating environment.

Community energy trading platform
Design/prototype an energy exchange/aggregation platform at peer-to-peer level that allows prosumers/consumers to contribute/sell energy at an individual level. The platform should be prototyped using smart meters for data collection, renewable generation/usage monitoring device and settlement using block chain.
